There are times when throw-away plastic water bottles are very important. For example, when water is contaminated with lead or pesticides and there is no other access to clean drinking water. Or maybe there is a hurricane and there is no other access to drinking water. Most of the time however, we really don't need to waste money on buying water in plastic bottles.

Plastic throw-way water bottles waste energy and pollute the air while being made, clutter up our beautiful land and water, often harming living creatures like whales and dolphins. Educating your students about these issues will encourage them and their families to stop using these water bottles. They are so unnecessary. If you have to use them, be sure to recycle them.   to let us know what

you are doing at your school, church or family.
